Bonded SmCo / Bonded Samarium Cobalt is the highest grade of material that can either be made by using nylon 12 or compression molded using epoxy. It was developed by Seiko Epson Corporation and can be made radial up to 15 Mgoe, cross field up to 17 Mgoe, and axially by similar method for 15 Mgoe. Typically used in high quality stepping motors, this material has been in the market place for over 30 years and IMI has yet to have a reject of any kind.
We offer both compression bonded 1:5, and 2:17 SmCo magnets. They have lower energy products than sintered SmCo – currently in the range of 4.0 to 10.0 MGOe.
Polymer samarium cobalt magnets with SmCo magnetic powder mixed with polymer materials, compressing through the shaped die, various shapes of high dimensional accuracy can be produced, requiring no further finish machining. Due to excellent corrosion resistance, coating is not required.
We have over 20 years experience on manufacturing and technology on the polymer samarium cobalt magnets. With its own molding workshop, the factory can accomplish entire production process in-house from molding design, manufacturing and maintenance. The plant has obtained automatic production with rigorous Japanese-type management and precise equipments imported.
The characteristics: Not only has the bond permanent magnet of high precision, various shape and size’s characteristic, but also has the strong corrosion resistance ability. Generally may not need the surface treatment, and the temperature stability is high.
Applications:
1.Computer and office automation: HDD, CD, DVD – ROM spindle motor, printers, fax stepping motor, etc.
2.The automobile field: Permanent magnet start motor, direction booster motor, automatic car motor, sit chair adjusted motor, speed sensors, etc.
3.Household appliances: Watch, air conditioning stepping motor, camera, camera driving motor, etc.
