1.The magnetic pull-force 620LBS*2 was tested using a computer-controlled tensile tester, it is the vertical pull-force which make the fishing magnet pull away from a 30mm t hickness steel plate under ideal condition. The actual pull-force will vary mainly depending on the following factors:
A: Steel thickness: The thinner the steel , the lower the pull-force, 620LBS*2 vertical pull-force was get on base of 30mm thickness steel plate
B: Pulling direction: The bigger of the pulling direction beyond 90 ° , the lower the pull-force, normally, the pull-force in horizontal direction is only about one third of that in vertical direction;
C: Attracting position: The farther beyond the center of gravity, the lower the pull-force is ;
In addtion, iron chips of magnetic surface also reduce the pull-force of magnet at some extent
2.Magnet just only attract iron , ferrous metal and nickel, do not attract gold, silver, copper, aluminiums and their alloy and stainless steel;

Question: Would two of these attached to opposing walls in a metal horse trailer tack room support a hammock and 125 lb person?

Question: Can you take the magnet out of the steel casing?

Answer: I’ve had some close calls where I thought I’d get it stuck forever, but as long as you can get a good sliding motion on it, it will always come off.

Question: Does this really work ?
Answer: Does it work, you ask?? Yes, it sure does. We lifted a flywheel lying flat, which was OK, but then lifted it from the edge, no mean feat. Only thing that I complain about is the tendency of the ring post to unscrew, which I finally secured with silicon. The threads were not close enough to use LocTite.
