Block Samarium Cobalt Magnet
Both grades exhibit excellent energy, temperature, and corrosion-resistant properties and should be considered as your first choice of material when a compact high energy field is required at temperatures of over 100°C or for applications involving hostile environments. Being almost impossible to de-magnetize SmCo magnets has a vast range of applications ranging from servo-motors, robotics, machine tools, relays, sensors & UHV magnetrons.
Compared with NdFeB, SmCo are more suitable for working in higher temperatures.
Nd-Fe-B magnets and Sm-Co magnets are the major rare earth magnetic materials supplied by Magnet City.
Although these Neodymium and Samarium magnets can be substituted for each other where operating temperature is less than 80°C, there are some feature differences.
The price of Nd-Fe-B magnets are relatively lower. The (BH) max of Nd-Fe-B magnets can reach to 48MGOe, which is higher than that of Sm-Co magnets. High-Performance SmCo Block Motor Magnets
