Permanent Housing Electric Drum Magnet Item No. MP-MHD series – Magnetic Drum Separator is designed for the continuous extraction of ferrous metal contamination from dry bulk material. Material is fed uniformly onto the surface of drum from a conveyor, vibration feeder or chute, ensuring continuous metal contamination removal. Magnetic Drum Separator is a drum magnet with a housing outside for mounting purpose. It has all the benefit of drum magnet but easier to installation.

Working Principle
As the outer stainless steel shell rotates, clean product material is allowed to free fall through the one chute, while powerful magnets hold ferrous contamination to the point where the magnetism ends, discharging the metal trough the other chute.

Magnet design: Stationary Ceramic or Rare Earth magnetic assembly inside rotating drum shell.
Contaminant removal: Ferrous fragments, nuts, bolts, and other tramp metal from free-flowing granular material.
Method of cleaning: Continuous self-cleaning design.

Drum Magnet has a magnetic part of 180 degree arc internal which is stationary. The other half space is totally non-magnetized. When material drops onto the drum cover surface, the metal contaminants will be attracted on the magnetic part while materials pass through. As drum cover is rotating invariable, the iron contaminant will follow its orbit to non-magnetized part and consequent it discharged down.
