MPCO customizes HAST neodymium magnets like N38SHT, N35H HAST, N38H HAST as per customer’s special demands and applications. “HAST” is short for “Highly Accelerated Temperature/Humidity Stress Test.” The main features of HAST neodymium magnet is increasing the resistance of oxidation & corrosion and reducing the weight loss in testing and using. Thus, HAST NdFeB magnets are mostly used in the applications like elevators, motors, pumps, wind generators, radar, military aerospace and some other fields which have high requirements to magnets.

Normal Standards for Low Weight Loss Test of HAST Neodymium Permanent Magnets :
USA Standard: PCT at 121ºC±1ºC, 95% humidity, 2 atmospheric pressure for 96 hours, weight loss < 5-10mg/cm2
Europe Standard: PCT at 130 ºC±2ºC, 95% humidity, 3 atmospheric pressure for 168 hours, weight loss < 2-5mg/cm2
Obviously, Europe standard is more strictly than USA standard.

Hast Neodymium Magnets are mainly used in motors, magnetic coupling etc. As per IEC HAST standard, after 168 hours’ test in the high temperature, high pressure and high humidity cooker, the weight loss of the Hast Neodymium Magnets manufactured by MPCO is less than 2mg/cm2. That is to say, lifetime of Hast NdFeB in motors will be more than 10 years.
