Neodymium Radially Magnetized Ring Magnets
Neodymium ‘Radially Magnetized’ Ring Magnets have a specific magnetic pattern on either their inside or outside diameter and are most commonly available in three different configurations.
A new technology enables the production of super strong, one piece, radially magnetized neodymium ring magnet!
Magnets with Skewed Magnetization (show in image 1) are used in both servo and power steering motors.
Radially Magnetized Ring Magnets
Magnets with Multi-pole magnetization on the Outer Diameter and/or Inner Diameter (shown in image 2) can be found in servo motors, spindle motors, generators, couplings, and stepping motors.
And lastly, magnets with a north pole on the Outer Diameter and south pole on the Inner Diameter (or vice versa) seen in image 3, are used in linear actuators, compressors, magnetic bearings and high end speakers.
Radially ring magnets are magnetized from the inside to the outside. The radial magnetization increases the ring’s magnetic force, it can be formed into shapes and patterns that axially magnetized magnets cannot, this provides a possibility of unique design by truly different magnetic circuit.
The radially Neodymium ring magnets is revolutionizing the permanent magnet space for synchronous motors, stepping motors and DC brushless motors widely used in automotive, computers, electronics, communications, office, school equipment and common household products.
