Do magnets attract all metallic objects?
MYTH: Magnets attract metallic objects
FACT: Magnets attract ferrous metals only.
Magnets attract objects made of magnetic materials like, Iron, Nickel, Cobalt etc. which are also ferrous metals. Several metals like Copper, Silver , gold etc. are not attracted by magnets at all.

FACT: Magnetic field lines are imaginary
Yes, Magnetic field lines are imaginary but they have been imagined for a practical purpose. Field lines are hypothetical lines around and inside a magnet which are used to visually represent the direction and strength of field of the magnet. The direction of field lines represent the direction of magnetic field in a region and the concentration of field lines represent the field strength.

Yes, you heard that right. Magnetic fields closed curves that represent the direction of magnetic field at a particular region. Inside the magnet the field lines run from South to North pole and outside a magnet, field lines run from North pole to South pole.

FACT: Magnetic poles always exist in pairs
Magnetic monopoles do not exist separately. If you break a magnet, it converts into two separate smaller magnets having both the poles i.e. North and south.

Overloading and short circuiting, What’s the difference?
Short Circuit
Short Circuit occurs when the live wire and neutral wire of a circuit comes in direct contact and a huge amount of current flows through a circuit. It can happen when the insulation of wires get damaged
In the case of short circuiting, the resistance of the circuit becomes extremely low.
Overloading
Overloading happens when a many appliances are plugged in at the same socket, and a large amount of current flows through appliances. If the amount of current passing through the wire exceeds the maximum permissible limit, the wires may get heated to such an extent that it can cause fire.
In the case of overloading the amount is current is large but lesser than the case of short circuiting.
